Free Falling Legends Lose Again
Greensboro pitcher Sheldon Vu had a large part in his team beating the Lexington Legends, 5-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Vu, now 1-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Erwin Maida recorded his 2nd save for Greensboro.

Raidel Tavera dealt the Legends a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Greensboro leading 2-0, Tavera hit a 1-0 slider for a 2-run single.

"We need to step it up, period," said an agitated Lexington manager Daniel Mojica.

Greensboro has won 3 straight, while Lexington has lost 12 in a row.
