Downward Spiral Continues for Lexington

Greensboro pitcher Blake Taggart did his part in helping his team defeat the Lexington Legends, 9-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Taggart yielded 2 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-3. Santiago Yzaguirre notched his 1st save of the season.
Making an impact for Greensboro was center fielder Otello McAllister. He drilled a triple off Jeremy Young in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, McAllister was 2 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2.
Lexington manager Jonathan Barfield, after yet another defeat, said: "Just different when you have that swimming feeling in your cranium. It's difficult to focus."
The slumping Legends have lost 23 straight.
