Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Catfish
|
In a tight contest at Progressive Field, the Columbus Catfish edged the Hagerstown Suns by the score of 7-6. Columbus third baseman Otis Beverly, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Columbus reliever R.J. Sousa picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Matías Ferrer absorbed the loss. The Catfish sit in 7th place in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division with a record of 34-46.
The Catfish procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Rodri Hernández. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
In postgame comments, Beverly said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
