Marcus, Hot Rods Too Much for Legends
|
Odern Marcus was a major contributor to the 10-6 Bowling Green win over Lexington. The Hot Rods center fielder was 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. This loss makes it 8 in a row for Lexington.
Marcus had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Jack Frost, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Hot Rods a 7-6 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Marcus.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Bowling Green skipper Oscar Cornejo.
