Brian Giancaspro pitched well, but the Columbia Fireflies still lost the game, falling 4-2 to the Augusta GreenJackets at First Energy Park. Lydon Walker, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit. Augusta, at 42-42, occupies third place in the South Atlantic League Carolina Division.

In the bottom of the sixth, Augusta designated hitter Benedicto Velasquez put his team on top. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 6th double of the year. Columbia pitcher Brian Giancaspro served it up. Just like that, the GreenJackets were ahead, 3-2.

After the game, Augusta manager Hector Garduno applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
