Kannapolis Gets 9-2 Win
The Kannapolis Intimidators topped the Lexington Legends, 9-2, in South Atlantic League action at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kannapolis center fielder Justin Elmore. Samuel Brink earned the win to go to 8-2. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. William Walsh notched his 4th save in 4 chances.

With Kannapolis leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth, Elmore hit a 2-run single off Lexington hurler Nate Westmoreland. It was the 101st hit of the season for Elmore and put his team ahead, 5-0.

"We had a nice day," said Kannapolis skipper Carlos Saucedo.

Kannapolis improves to 57-25 with the win. They lead their division by 8 games.
