The Connecticut Tigers picked up a win at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium, topping the Auburn Doubledays, 1-0. On the mound for Connecticut was right-hander Eddie Harris. He played a principal role in the triumph. Connecticut has a record of 3-2.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Tigers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when first baseman Francisco Romero hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Quentin Harshaw and made the score 1-0, Tigers. Romero was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Carlos Renteria.
