Spinners Nip Lake Monsters, 3-2
|
For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.
Lowell pitcher Sebastian Lomeli did his part in helping his team defeat the Vermont Lake Monsters, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Lowell reliever Roque Daly was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Dwayne Tomsjansen.
Jacob Sisler was the walk-off hero for Lowell. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Spinners designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Sebastian's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Lowell manager Gabe Espinoza.
Lowell has a record of 1-2.
