Lake Monsters Rally to Tally 8-6 Win
The Vermont Lake Monsters stopped the Connecticut Tigers, 8-6, behind an impressive performance from Mario Esqueda. The 22-year old center fielder made life miserable for Connecticut pitching. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk. Vermont reliever Easton Odom picked up the win, while Ethan Roldan took the loss for Connecticut. Tony Wozniczka was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Dominic Knight? The Vermont center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lake Monsters on top, 8-5. For the game, Knight had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Whenever I help the team," said Knight, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
