Red Wings 3-2 Winners Versus Niagara Falls
|
Hamilton pitcher Angelo McAuley had a large part in his team subduing the Niagara Falls Rapids, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Gerardo Rivera came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Hamilton goes to 4-2.
Houdini Terenzi drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Hamilton. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off P.J. Peyton. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
"Ah," said McAuley in a jubilant clubhouse, "the sweet smell of victory!."
