Hamilton Makes It 6 Straight with 3-1 Win
The Hamilton Red Wings extended their winning streak.

Starting pitcher Harrison Sandburg gave the Hamilton Red Wings a rock-solid effort. The Comanche, Oklahoma native helped his team defeat the Niagara Falls Rapids, 3-1, at Red Wings Ballpark. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Sawyer Phillips in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Fergie Thuotte took the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Simon Harper.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Peter Moore came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Niagara Falls pitcher Fergie Thuotte, he hit a 0-1 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Hamilton on top, 2-1.

"I like our mindset right now," said Hamilton manager Rex Tutt.

The defeat makes Niagara Falls 3-6.
