Getting a good performance from first baseman Harvey Michales, the Abbotsford Canucks defeated the Niagara Falls Rapids, 7-6. Michales went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk for the Canucks. Hercules Castaneda nailed down his 2nd save. With the win, Abbotsford is 3-1.

Abbotsford right fielder Allen Posey contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two down, he hit a splitter into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Canucks ahead, 7-4.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Posey told the Abbotsford Gazette.
