Cyclones Get Dramatic 2-1 Win
|
Brooklyn took on Youngstown in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Weston Morris, in particular, was fantastic. The Brooklyn right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. Morris went the distance for Brooklyn. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. The win takes Brooklyn to 6-3.
Brooklyn got a clutch hit from Rocky Rude. The pinch hitter launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
"Weston controlled the strike zone," said Brooklyn manager Gary Tucker.
