Lobsters Make It 6 In a Row with 8-5 Triumph Over Staten Island

The Maine Lobsters knocked off the Staten Island Pizza Rats, 8-5, in New York-Penn League action at Portland Ballpark. Maine pitcher and Garner, North Carolina, native Payton Flack had an outstanding performance. Gabriel Jiménez recorded his 4th save for Maine. The Lobsters, now 7-1, have stormed out of the gates.
In the bottom of the fourth, Chuck Fitzhugh delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Maine first baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Lobsters in front, 8-5.
Afterward, Staten Island manager Max Collison said: "We've hit a rough patch."
