Kennewick Pins 5-2 Loss on Pippins
|
The Yakima Valley Pippins and Kennewick Marauders were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Kennewick rode a fine outing from starter Dwight Ghaderi to victory over the Yakima Valley Pippins at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The final score was 5-2. Ghaderi got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 7.2 innings. Ghaderi allowed 2 runs. Jason Stevenson recorded his 1st save for Kennewick.
It could have been a different outcome for Kennewick, had it not been for Manning Mosier, the 22-year old left fielder . Mosier contributed a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put Kennewick up, 3-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mosier. "And not try to do too much."
The Marauders, now 5-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.
