Dwyer Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Batavia Muckdogs and Vermont Lake Monsters.

The Batavia Muckdogs used the hitting of center fielder Lukas Salvador to subdue the Vermont Lake Monsters, 9-8. For the game, Salvador was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times. Vermont falls to 4-4.

The decisive blow was delivered by Buck Conlon in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Wozniczka to win the game for Batavia. The home crowd went nuts.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Salvador, "but we got it done."
