Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Ediberto Elias the Hamilton Red Wings defeated the Connecticut Tigers, 5-1. The winner in relief was Hayden Frank. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Hamilton goes to 9-2.
With Hamilton leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Elias hit a run-scoring single off Connecticut hurler Eddie Harris. It was the 12th hit of the season for Elias and put his team ahead, 3-1.
