Big Day by Zahn Sparks 13-8 Kennewick Win
|
The Kennewick Marauders defeated the Eugene Emeralds, 13-8, at PK Park today. Leading the charge for Kennewick was designated hitter Sam Zahn. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win gives Kennewick a record of 6-0.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Zahn delivered big-time for Kennewick, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Joseph Barnes. The game-changing hit put the Marauders on top, 10-8.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Zahn said.
