Rapids shortstop Ollie Steffler left his mark on his team's 7-5 win over the Aberdeen Ironbirds. Steffler was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Niagara Falls in the contest. Jim Georgi, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Roger Lyons closed the game out for Niagara Falls, earning his 3rd save.

Niagara Falls took a 5-3 lead on Paulo Keith's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Keith hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Aberdeen pitcher Marcos Estevez visibly frustrated.
