Atlantic City right fielder Manuel González played a vital role in his team's 5-2 conquest of Maine. He went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Atlantic City. The winner was John Marquardt in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ronan Mackley took the loss. Gottfried Lyon collected save number 4.

Atlantic City used the timely hitting of Jeb Elder to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Jokers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Elder.

The Lobsters fall to 5-9.
