Jammers Zip Past Spinners, 6-2

Behind the hitting of R.J. Preston, the Jamestown Jammers stopped the Lowell Spinners, 6-2. Preston was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Jammers. Jamestown reliever Allen Mora snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Buddy Kirkwood shouldered the loss. Bruce Scott earned the save, his 1st, for the Jammers.
First Baseman Oscar De La Cruz made an impact for Jamestown, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Buddy Kirkwood in the bottom of the second. For the contest, De La Cruz went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Preston told the Jamestown Herald: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
The Spinners fall to 4-6 and continue their rocky start to the 2057 season.
