The Maine Lobsters beat the Auburn Doubledays, 5-4, at Portland Ballpark. Maine left fielder Jim Herndon collected 2 singles and 1 double with 1 RBI. The winning pitcher was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Whittaker Sherman. He tossed 95 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits. Gabriel Cordero picked up his 2nd save of the season.
