Rattlers Get 7-5 Win Versus Oil City
|
The Redmond Rattlers weathered an outstanding game by Oil City shortstop James Valdivia to topple the Oilers, 7-5. Valdivia was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Joe Thomas, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held Oil City to 3 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. The loss makes Oil City 3-5.
Isaias Farr, the 19-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Farr contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Redmond up, 4-3.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Farr.
