Gremlins Absorb 3-2 Loss at The Oil Field
The Oil City Oilers faced a tough opponent in Youngstown pitcher River Collins, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Oil Field by a final score of 3-2. Collins went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The win went to Zach Henwood in relief, making him now 1-0. Shai Arad took the loss for Youngstown. Finley Wade recorded the save, his 1st.

Oil City took a 3-2 lead on Jon Larson's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Larson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Youngstown pitcher Shai Arad visibly frustrated.

Youngstown manager Brandon Haviland said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

Oil City, at 6-10, holds down 7th place in the New York-Penn League South Division.
