Led by Ryan Downing, the Youngstown Gremlins downed the Oil City Oilers, 5-2. Downing was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Gremlins. The victory makes Youngstown 5-11.

Youngstown used a well-timed hit by Harald Cain to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Gremlins ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Downing told the Youngstown Herald.
