Paris, Tigers March to 5-2 Victory
|
The timely hitting of Wyatt Paris helped the Connecticut Tigers down the Batavia Muckdogs, 5-2. Paris was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Tigers. Connecticut has won 4 consecutive games.
Had Mark Stansberry not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Stansberry hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Tigers.
"We put our best foot forward tonight," said a smiling Stansberry.
