The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes beat the Niagara Falls Rapids, 4-0. Salem-Keizer pitcher and Cloverdale, Indiana, native Silas Kringen led the way. The Rapids fall to 4-7 and continue their lackluster start in 2052.

Salem-Keizer relied on the bat of Patrick Possenti to get the win. The designated hitter produced a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put the Volcanoes ahead, 2-0. For the game, Possenti had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Salem-Keizer skipper Ron Gabrielian. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
