Hawks Best Black Bears in Pitching Duel
|
Randall Marshall pitched well, but the West Virginia Black Bears still lost the game, falling 1-0 to the Boise Hawks at Memorial Stadium. The save went to Obi-wan Suzor, number 1 for him. Boise is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 4th win in 12 games.
The Hawks got a big at-bat from first baseman Karam Lynch. For the game, Lynch was 2 for 2 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Boise a 1-0 lead.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Lynch.
