Flying Tigers Pick Up 5-4 Win
|
The Medford Flying Tigers and Batavia Muckdogs obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
The Medford Flying Tigers overcame a good performance by Batavia second baseman Aiden Wallace to knock off Batavia, 5-4, at Medford Grounds. Wallace was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Gavin Thomson recorded the save for Medford, his 1st of the season.
Bonbon Mateo helped out the Medford cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Mateo.
The win puts Medford at 8-3.
