Extra-Inning Win by Rapids Over Doubledays
|
The Niagara Falls Rapids weathered a fine game by Auburn left fielder Caleb Suydam to upend the Doubledays, 6-5, at Nat Bailey Stadium. Suydam went 2-3 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. The defeat makes Auburn 9-4.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Niagara Falls right fielder Jim Sacheli, facing Jack Stuto, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rapids the 6-5 win.
Sacheli described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
