Indians Need Extra Frames to Get Past Cavalry
|
The Indians grabbed a win, 3-2, at Avista Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from New Westminster pitcher Les Hess. Hess went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Reliever Rod Schofield picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Kameron Kemp took the loss. The Indians, now 3-9, have not found much traction so far in 2052.
The Indians procured the win, in large part because of first baseman T.J. Miles. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
In postgame remarks, Miles simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
