Hot Start Continues for AquaSox
|
Everett and Tri-City duked it out and the AquaSox came out victorious.
The Everett AquaSox topped the Tri-City ValleyCats, 6-3, in Northwest League action at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Everett pitcher and Cherry Grove, Ohio, native Ronald Achoy. Achoy went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-0. Laz Richardson picked up the save for Everett, his 1st of the year.
Vela Jaramillo, the 21-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jaramillo contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Everett up, 2-0.
"I liked his command," said Everett manager Jason Claar. "Ronald was throwing strikes."
The win gives Everett a season record of 11-4.
