|
Connecticut Tigers starter Oscar Cleveland was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Eugene Emeralds, 4-2. Cleveland got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Cleveland allowed no runs. Ryan Rosen got the save, the 1st for him this season.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from left fielder Ian Aguilera. For the game, Aguilera went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season gave Connecticut a 3-0 lead.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Cleveland.
The loss makes Eugene 5-10.
