Black Bears Clip Muckdogs, 3-2
|
West Virginia Black Bears starter Randall Marshall was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Batavia Muckdogs, 3-2. With the victory, the Black Bears upped their record to 11-6.
West Virginia used the clutch hitting of Darren Minor to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Black Bears the lead, 1-0. For the game, Minor had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Marshall told the West Virginia Bulletin.
