A 3-RBI performance from Timothy Napoli, who is tied for 10th in the NYP in hits with 41, helped the Tri-City ValleyCats beat the Hamilton Red Wings, 16-6. Darin Wiley notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. The ValleyCats now own a record of 19-13.

Bruce Downer had a big 2-run double for the ValleyCats in the top of the second inning. With Tri-City leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Angelo McAuley, who is tied for 10th in the NYP in innings pitched with 37.2, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the ValleyCats ahead, 4-0.

"There's ebbs and flows in the season and right now we're just looking to finish strong," said Napoli.
