Franco Pérez was outstanding against Vermont. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the NYP in strikeouts with 41, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Tigers 6-3 win. After today's action, Connecticut sits at 19-18, while Vermont falls to 16-21.

With one out in the top of the sixth, Yeury Paz put Connecticut in front, 3-0, with a 2-run single. The Tigers went on to win the ballgame.

Paz attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
