The Youngstown Gremlins beat the Connecticut Tigers, 3-0, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Aden Crowe starred for Youngstown. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double. Francisco Vergara collected his 7th save. The 6th-place Tigers now sit at 18-18.

Youngstown used the timely hitting of J.A. Fournier to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gremlins on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Simon Begum.
