Big Day by Coplan Ignites Chiefs Win
The Wenatchee Chiefs defeated the Youngstown Gremlins, 11-4, at Chiefs Stadium today. Leading the charge for Wenatchee was shortstop Gabe Coplan. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The second-place Chiefs have won 6 consecutive games.

In the bottom of the fifth, Wenatchee right fielder Gord Unverferth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out, Unverferth stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 4-3, Wenatchee. For the game, he was 2-5 with a double.

"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Unverferth.
