On Road, Black Bears Top Cyclones, 4-0
|
Spirited fans greeted the Brooklyn Cyclones for their clash with the West Virginia Black Bears.
The West Virginia Black Bears got a stellar performance from pitcher Maddox Vane, who handcuffed the Brooklyn offense en route to a win, 4-0, at MCU Park. The win makes West Virginia 22-14.
West Virginia used the hitting of Jaxx Brown to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Black Bears on top, 2-0. For the game, Brown had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It felt good to put the barrel on the ball," said Brown.
