Black Bears Get One-Run Win at Connecticut
The Connecticut Tigers got a superb performance from pitcher Hudson Mahfouz, but the West Virginia Black Bears still won the game, 5-4. Mahfouz threw 8.1 innings of 7-hit ball. Jasper Hite notched his 5th save of the season. West Virginia has a record of 23-15, placing them third in the New York-Penn League South Division.

Tito Narvaez helped out the West Virginia cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Narvaez.
