Yaimel Taveras was a major factor in the 6-4 Maine win over State College. The Lobsters designated hitter was 1-4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Raudel De Leon picked up the win in relief for Maine, while Sean Richardson took the loss. Hank Ashton earned save number 6.

Taveras had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 cutter from Sean Richardson, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Lobsters a 5-4 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Taveras.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Taveras told the Maine Observer.

The first-place Lobsters have a record of 33-9.
