The Hamilton Red Wings locked up a win at Centennial Field, knocking off the Vermont Lake Monsters, 8-3. On the mound for Hamilton was right-hander Paul Jasaitis. He played a major role in the triumph. The win elevated the Red Wings to 22-18.

Austin Barrett had a big 2-run home run for the Red Wings in the top of the sixth inning. With Hamilton leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Wade Ashford and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Wings ahead, 4-1.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Hamilton manager Dmitry Parks. "That's what Paul is right now."
