In a tight tilt between the State College Spikes and the Jamestown Jammers, Adrian Wiles was the deciding factor. The State College right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Wiles, now 2-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. With this game in the books, State College is 23-18, Jamestown 22-19.
The Spikes got a big boost from right fielder Levi Sousa who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Jammers hurler Lance McHardy. It was his 6th walk of the season and put State College on top, 1-0.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Jamestown manager Mitsukuni Yamamoto said, following the tough loss.
