Clark, Marauders Beat Rattlers, 5-4
|
The Kennewick Marauders did just enough to secure a victory over the Redmond Rattlers, 5-4, at Ron Tonkin Field. Nobody did more than right fielder Jordan Clark. Kennewick pitcher Shelton Morisett got the win. He's now 5-1. A.J. Livermont was tagged with the loss. Haroldo Terrazas earned the save, his 11th.
Sam Zahn drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Kennewick. In a tie game with one out in the top of the eighth, Zahn came through with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Marauders in front, 5-4.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Zahn.
At 17-4, the Marauders claim first place in the Northwest League North Division.
