Canucks Cut Down Hawks, 2-0
|
Abbotsford starter Reginald Farias had a strong outing against the Boise Hawks at Ballpark of Abbotsford. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. Lewis Hill closed it out for his 1st save. Abbotsford now has a record of 11-10 with the win.
The Canucks got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Grant Rucinski. For the game, Rucinski went 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Abbotsford a 2-0 lead.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Rucinski told the Abbotsford Gazette.
