Tigers Deck Jammers, 10-0
|
Connecticut Tigers starter Gerald Ordonez was dealing, as his team thumped the Jamestown Jammers, 10-0. The Tigers saw their record improve to 22-23.
Mark Stansberry had a big grand slam home run for the Tigers in the bottom of the third inning. With Connecticut leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Pogey Johnson and swatted a home run to left. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 5-0.
"Gerald doing his thing just hyped us all up," said Connecticut manager Simon Begum.
