Boise Pins 10-5 Loss on ValleyCats
|
Despite a great performance by Tri-City third baseman Charles Burrelli, the Boise Hawks defeated the ValleyCats by the score of 10-5 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. Burrelli was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Hazim Saeed earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. Boise now sits in 7th place in the Northwest League South Division at 9-15.
Boise used the bat of Dylan Lewis to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 7-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lewis.
