Youngstown 7-2 Victors at MCU Park
|
The Youngstown Gremlins locked up a win at MCU Park, knocking off the Brooklyn Cyclones, 7-2. On the mound for Youngstown was right-hander Caleb Parker. He played a major role in the triumph. The Gremlins, now 20-27, have won 7 in a row.
Had Elliot Boling not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Boling hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Gremlins.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Parker told the Youngstown Chronicle.
