The performance of Mason Downey proved critical in helping Oil City beat Youngstown, 9-5. The Oilers third baseman went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Sebastian Brewer. With this game in the books, Oil City is 23-31, Youngstown 25-29.

Oil City used the timely hitting of Hank Nelson to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Oilers on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
