Both offenses were relatively subdued at Dutchess Stadium. Fortunately for the Atlantic City Jokers, though, Jack LaLone was able to deliver in the clutch. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, to lead his team past the West Virginia Black Bears, 3-1. The triumph puts Atlantic City at 31-26 for the season.

Cassius Banks had a direct impact on the outcome. Banks contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Atlantic City up, 3-1.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Banks. "But I have better dreams after a win."
