Hanton, Angels Beat Dodgers, 7-5
|
Jon Hanton was a vital contributor to the 7-5 California victory over Los Angeles. The Angels third baseman hit 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. The save went to Jacob Dickerson, number 6 for him. The loss has the Dodgers at 15-6.
With California trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Hanton hit a curveball from Connor Stout for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Angels ahead, 5-4.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Hanton told the California Daily News, "and we played pretty well tonight."
