Volcanoes Make Spinners 4-2 Losers
|
Salem-Keizer beat Lowell on the strength of starter Silas Kringen's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Kringen picked up the win for Salem-Keizer, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. With the victory, the Volcanoes upped their record to 20-11.
Rob Bywaters, the 23-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bywaters contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Salem-Keizer up, 3-2.
After the game, Salem-Keizer manager Ron Gabrielian applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
