Red Wings Win in Glorious Fashion, 11-8
|
The Hamilton Red Wings beat the Tri-City ValleyCats, 11-8 -- though it took them 15 innings. Hamilton center fielder Damien Presnell had a pretty good game. He was 5 for 9 with a home run and 4 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win went to Brody Favela in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Rudy Quiñones took the loss. The second-place Red Wings are 37-25.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 15th. With two out, Presnell hit a changeup from Kyle Williams for a 3-run home run. The Red Wings, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said Presnell.
