Cyclones Raise Rally Flag, Beat Batavia, 5-2
|
The 5-2 Brooklyn win over Batavia was due largely to J.D. Price. The Cyclones first baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Cyclones, now 32-29, have won 4 in a row.
With Brooklyn leading 3-2 in the top of the eighth, Price hit a run-scoring single off Batavia hurler Martin Spear. It was the 52nd hit of the season for Price and put his team ahead, 4-2.
Brooklyn manager Solomon Osorio called it "a good, solid win."
