Clausen Socks 2 Homers in 10-4 Win
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Lowell Spinners and Youngstown Gremlins.
The Lowell Spinners cut down the Youngstown Gremlins by the score of 10-4, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Noah Clausen. Clausen hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Spinners. Sebastian Leal, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 2 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 5-5.
Lowell grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Clausen hit a grand slam home run off Rafael Esquivel. His 12th home run of the season put the Spinners out in front, 5-1.
"We came out aggressive," said Spinners manager Gabe Espinoza. "We came out swinging the bats."
Lowell has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
